Built for Highland Park's Homes
Highland Park was laid out in the early 1900s by the same planner who designed Beverly Hills, and it still looks the part. The homes are Tudor, Georgian, Mediterranean, Spanish, and French eclectic, many of them from the 1920s and 30s, with solid brick, stucco, tile roofs, leaded glass, arched fireplaces, and millwork you do not see in new construction. That history is exactly why the painting has to be done with care.
A lot of these homes are old enough to have plaster walls and original paint, and old paint needs contained, careful prep rather than a fast scrape-and-go. We protect the leaded glass, the wood, and the details that give a home its age, and we repaint in a way that keeps the character instead of erasing it.
Painted brick is part of the look here, and so is limewash. We can take a dated red brick to a soft white or warm neutral, limewash it for a breathable, aged finish, or repaint an already-painted façade.
