Tanglewood is a family neighborhood first. Families move here for the schools - Tanglewood Elementary among them - and stay for the mature trees, the big lots, the walkable streets, and the Trinity Trails a few blocks away. It is the kind of place where the home matters because the family lives in it, not because anyone is trying to impress the neighbors.
What makes the painting interesting here is the range. Tanglewood started as a neighborhood of 1950s and 60s ranch homes, and a lot of those are still here and well loved. But over the last couple of decades, many have been updated, expanded, or torn down and replaced with new custom homes - modern, transitional, and traditional, often in stone, stucco, and glass. Drive a single street and you will pass an original brick ranch, a thoughtful remodel, and a brand-new build. We work on all three.
That means two different kinds of jobs, and we do both well. On the original ranches, it is usually about bringing the home current without tearing it down - lightening a dated interior, updating or whitening the brick, refinishing the kitchen, and repainting an exterior that has seen a few decades of Texas sun. On the remodels and new builds, it is finish work - getting the interior, the cabinets, and the new exterior right on a home that has to look as good as it cost.
Either way, the trees and the sun are part of the job. Tanglewood's old-growth canopy is one of the best things about it, and it also means shade, debris, and uneven weathering on exteriors, plus strong afternoon sun on the walls that aren't shaded. After enough summers working out here, you learn which products and sheens hold up where - and because this is a family neighborhood, we keep the site clean and the house livable the whole way through.
Tanglewood runs the range - original brick ranches, tasteful remodels, and new stone-and-stucco customs, often on the same street. We work on all of it, whether you are refreshing a home you have had for years or finishing a brand-new one. Here is the full range, with a link to see how we handle each.
Walls, trim, and ceilings - whether that is lightening a dated mid-century ranch interior or putting the finish coat on a remodel or new build. We work clean and keep the house livable while we are in it.
The brick on the original ranches and the stone, stucco, and siding on the newer customs, all prepped for the Texas sun. The mature trees Tanglewood is known for add shade and debris that change how a wall weathers, and we plan for it.
Kitchen cabinets, vanities, and built-ins sprayed to a smooth, hard finish. The quickest way to bring a dated ranch kitchen current without a full remodel, and a clean way to finish a new build.
The red and brown brick on the original ranches, lightened or refreshed with breathable finishes or limewash rather than heavy paint that seals the surface. The white-brick update is one of the biggest changes you can make to a ranch.
Front doors, beams, fences, decks, and the outdoor wood that takes the sun under all those trees - stripped, re-stained, and sealed to hold color and hold up.
The settling cracks and nail pops that come with Fort Worth's clay soil, in older ranches and new builds alike, patched and textured to match before we paint.
Cracked, chipped, or settling stucco on the newer stone-and-stucco homes, routed, patched, and texture-matched before any color goes on.
In a family neighborhood, staying clean and out of the way matters as much as the finish. We keep the job organized and predictable from the first walkthrough to the last.
We walk the home with you, look at the materials and condition, talk through color, and give you a clear written estimate. No guesswork and no surprise line items later.
Prep is where the finish is won. We wash, scrape, sand, caulk, and prime what needs it, and we cover your floors, furniture, landscaping, and surfaces before a drop of paint goes on.
The same crew runs your job start to finish, and we keep dust and mess contained so the house stays livable for the family and the pets. We clean up at the end of every day.
We walk it with you at the end, touch up anything that needs it, and do not call it done until you are happy with how it looks up close.
We are based off Cordova Avenue in southwest Fort Worth, just minutes from Tanglewood. This is our part of town. We know the neighborhood and the ones around it - Overton Park, Colonial, Park Hill, and the TCU area - and the mix of ranches, remodels, and new builds that makes this pocket of Fort Worth what it is.
Being right here means we are easy to reach, easy to get on site, and genuinely local - not a crew driving across the metroplex. We bring careful work, clean job sites, and color expertise to every home, and we keep one crew on your job from the first walkthrough to the last.

Interior and exterior painting, cabinet refinishing, brick and limewash, wood staining, and drywall and stucco repair — for original ranches, remodels, and new builds alike. Each one has its own page if you want the detail.
Both, and that is the point in Tanglewood. We refresh original mid-century ranches — lightening dated interiors, updating brick, refinishing kitchens, and repainting weathered exteriors — and we do the finish work on remodels and new custom homes. Same crew, either job.
Yes, and it is one of the most popular updates here. We lighten red or brown ranch brick with breathable finishes or limewash rather than heavy paint that seals the surface and peels. It is the biggest single change you can make to a dated ranch exterior.
Yes. We cover and protect everything, keep dust and mess contained, work room by room or section by section, and clean up at the end of every day. The goal is to keep the house livable for the family the whole way through.
It depends on the material and the sun. Brick goes a long time, while stucco, wood, and trim need attention sooner, and west-facing walls fade first. Tanglewood's heavy tree cover helps shade some walls and adds debris to others, so we will tell you honestly what your home needs.
